Young Gargoyle

At the crossing
the Young Gargoyle idles briefly
watching for
others
to mechanic across the street

So gallantly is he seated
so nobly groomed and in bright armor
so undisturbed

Little does he know 
that the fleshy-foul shadow cast past yonder 
corner is the old dragon lurking
